Fall brought energy, laughter, and meaningful connections as we strengthened our Voyager Home Health community outreach efforts across Colorado. These activities highlighted that a strong community grows through genuine care, collaboration, and a shared commitment to inclusion.
Building Connections Through Our Voyager Home Health Community Outreach
Voyager Home Health Community Outreach in Action
Participation in local events helps families and caregivers connect, learn, and grow together. We joined Autism Vision of Colorado – a dedicated nonprofit that delivers education and community support for individuals with autism and their families.
Their annual Trunk or Treat brings hundreds of people together for an afternoon of joy and inclusion. Families dressed in creative costumes, children filled their bags with treats, and volunteers shared resources to strengthen community ties.
We decorated our own Voyager trunk for the event and handed out goodies alongside other home health care agencies, case management providers, and ABA therapy organizations. One of our partners, The Resource Exchange (TRE), continues to advocate for independence and inclusion for nearly 9,000 individuals of all ages who have disabilities, developmental delays, or long-term care needs.
Autism Vision of Colorado continues to build community connections through events such as Teen Social Group nights and Adult Game Nights. To support their mission or attend future gatherings, visit their Facebook page and join them in spreading awareness and acceptance.
Supporting Inclusion Through Events That Matter
We also joined the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk to celebrate inclusion during Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Hosted by the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association (RMDSA), this walk brought together thousands of participants to promote education, independence, and community partnership.
More than 4,000 attendees shared a day of laughter, connection, and purpose, uplifting individuals with Down syndrome and equipping families with valuable resources.
RMDSA continues to host inclusive events such as its Trick-or-Treat Street at Arapahoe High School. These events deliver sensory-friendly celebrations for children who thrive in welcoming, smaller settings.
Celebrating the Season Together
Festivities carried on as our Voyager team fully embraced the Halloween spirit. Costumes spanned from Bellatrix Lestrange and Little Red Riding Hood to cowboys and black cats.
Two team members even went all out, dressing as the owners of Voyager Home Health Care for a bit of lighthearted fun. Their playful impressions had everyone laughing and made the day unforgettable.
Halloween reminds us that connection is about sharing joy, celebrating creativity, and appreciating one another.
Continuing Our Mission of Care and Community
Community events like these highlight our belief that care starts with connection. At Voyager Home Health Care, we cultivate relationships that go well beyond the services we provide. Families remain at the center of our programs, and we take pride in helping parents and loved ones bring support where it matters most.
We proudly deliver Parent CNA programs that support family members to become certified caregivers, as well as In-Home Support Services (IHSS) for families across Colorado who want trusted support in their daily routines. Our team responds quickly to families’ needs, offers same-day assessments, and remains available around the clock because our community deserves dependable care.
Every event, smile, and conversation reflects our shared goal to create a place where everyone belongs. If you’re ready to be part of a supportive, caring network that values family, independence, and inclusion, connect with us.
